This is going to be a very interesting season and playoffs
[–]Rockets Rologames 38
There’s a solid chance neither of these teams are in the playoffs lol
[–][CHI] Jimmy Butler LackingInPatience 3
A couple of years ago, knowing the likes of Wall, Beal, Westbrook, Oladipo and Cousins would be playing was must see TV… But man was that a painful watch. So many bricks and turnovers from both teams.
[–]Rockets iamnotsandoz 10
I’m having fun watching this team
If rockets stay healthy i believe they will make it
[–]Rockets Aethos 5
We may not be the top contenders but with Wood back and the rest of the crew staying healthy, I think we're pretty solid even in the stacked West.
[–][DAL] Wang Zhizhi suzukigun4life 17
Boogie with 47 points on 60% shooting, 50% from 3z and 28 rebounds the last 2 games. Add in a 15-rebound game before that and he's playing his best basketball in years
[–]Wizards melatoxic 5
He looked horrible 3 games ago so I hope this gives him the confidence he needs.
Oladipo isn't posting good efficiency. Enough to post some wins, but it isn't going to get them very far.
He is 31-82 from the field in 4 games with the Rockets, with 3 of the 4 games against the bottom defensive teams in the eastern conference.
87 points on 82 shots is volume, but not efficient (9-30 from 3, 22-52 from 2). 19 assists to 14 turnovers. Rebounding and steals has been decent. No an ideal 22 points a game.
EFG of 43% and a trueshooting percentage of 47%….
[–]Rockets yung-insecurity 5
I don’t hate him and he isn’t bad but outside of a little bit more name power what makes Dipo any better than a Dennis Schroeder type?
He’s by far the most baffling pet of the Harden trade and I don’t get it.
This team doesn’t deserve fans. I am a Houston Rockets fan until further notice
Welcome. We are a team full of players with massive chips on their shoulders.
[–]Rockets hardendidnothingrong 20
Cousins is moving around and playing a lot better out there.
Eric Gordon is playing maybe his best basketball as a Rocket since the trade.
John Wall. That is all.
[–][UTA] Andrei Kirilenko olijolly [
Really want John Wall to be a star in the league again. This guy is so electrifying to watch.
[–]Lakers Chuckdatass 4
does Tucker not shoot anymore?
[–]Cavaliers chantlernz 6
He's refusing to shoot until he gets a trade.
[–]Rockets ELITEJamesHarden 62
I’m think i’m in love with wall
[–]Rockets screwt 46
I would die for John Wall
He just seems like an HTown kinda guy, not sure how long he’ll be on the team but I’ll enjoy him while I can
[–]Rockets ThornGodOfPricks 2
Idk how you trade him. 3 game winning streak since he's come back. The guy is absolutely the heart and soul of a team and you want him around younger guys to develop them.
[–][HOU] Patrick Beverley CrucioA7X 31
Russell Westbrook to John Wall during the 4th Quarter
[–]Nets CumpanyPolicy 48
So did Houston win the trade?
[–]Trail Blazers ShadyIntentions 47
Yes, they would have won if it was just a straight up trade. The fact that they got a protected 1st too is just icing on the cake.
[–]Pistons DMan9797 10
It's such an interesting team with the old guard of PJ Tucker, Eric Gordon, Danuel House playing with the new crew of Cousins, Oldaipo, and Wall. Feels like if you just smashed together two bad teams together to make whatever this is
Yeah it’s weird we’ve got a nice mix of vets and hungry young guys not a lot of people have heard of. Kind of nice to see some of our young players.
[–]Rockets BZ-B 19
Nobody thinks we won back when the trade happened. Now suddenly people thinks its a no brainer that we won the trade lol
[–]Wizards b-razzle 8
Westbrook has just been awful this year. A lot of wizards fans were lukewarm on the trade because Wall played in DC for ten years and was a fan favorite here but most people expected Westbrook to be an upgrade and the team to be competing for a lower playoff seed.
That has not panned out at all. As someone with pretty low expectations for Westbrook to start with he has been even worse than I expected.
Man, I really wanted to see what a prime Wall & Beal backcourt would’ve looked like…
[–]Wizards FelwintersCake 51
2017 was a close as we got and we were one quarter away from the lebron James invitational round. God that was such a fun series
[–][PHI] Joel Embiid Vip_Pwner 106
Is the wizards gameplan to just let beal shoot as much as he wants and hope they win by outscoring the opponent?
[–]Bucks CompleteSpud 68
yes? have you watched the wiz some time in the last two years?
[–][PHI] Joel Embiid Vip_Pwner 14
Well not really, if that’s been their playstyle for years why haven’t they changed?
Either Scott Brooks is getting fired tonight or Beal demands a trade in the locker room
[–]Wizards blitzKriegzzz 9
Na Brooks got the excuse of half our team being out.
[–]Wizards ned_yah 75
cant believe i ever thought this was a playoff team. this team is ass
[–]Disrespectful Guest 20
They are bad but there were also 6 players out for protocol plus Bryant.
[–]Wizards ned_yah 42
i dont give a shit about missing guys they were ass with those guys too
This game was so brutal to watch
[–]Wizards Edwardsthename 37
Scott Brooks is the worst coach in the NBA
Even with an elite coach Wizards would have the same problems, you got no good defenders in the roster
Shitting on Brooks is cool, he might be trash and he is but even if you fire him nothing would change really, Wizards score 120 the other team score 125 and win
A rebuild is needed, trade Beal, get rid of that trash Westbrook and just start from 0, this Beal-Wall era thing has come to an end
The other players suck. Beal hitting 60 is the only way they can compete. Russ hasn't been great since the trade either. Thomas Bryant is injured.
Hate them or not. And a lot of them got a bunch of hate at the wizards (from their fans and/or other teams fans), they lost a lot of talent when Porter/Wall/Oubre/Morris were traded and the return has been meh.
I think Beal had a mental breakdown
[–][PHI] Kyle Korver BabyDick-_- 58
Beal looks annoyed when Westbrooks dribbling around lol
Man, I feel for Beal
Just get him somewhere where he can compete
[–]Trail Blazers Wiserman64 19
I saw the one earlier where he looked at Bell airball a 3 and it still wasn't nearly as bad as this. Like, I don't want star players to keep moving around the league, but this situation in Washington is just so bad. Just let Beal go
Beal is surely the next disgruntled star on the trade market. Washington had its chance and it's time for him to move on, imo.
[–]Pistons DMan9797 10
But Beal has expressed an interest in being one of those guys who stays. I wonder if the Russ trade really convinced him they will never contend
[–]Rockets venitienne 1
Tbf everyone did…even most analysts. On paper it should've been a great season
Literally lol, I remember all these takes like “wizards might be good now” “best back court in the east” it’s definitely not like we all saw this coming even if you didn’t think they were good
Those comments probably came from Russ stans to be fair
Anyone who watched his career with an objective lens would know he has not really been as good as the stars indicate and is only going to continue declining
[–][WAS] Gilbert Arenas httr20 20
This team has to trade Beal and fire Brooks and fully commit to the rebuild.
[–]Rockets Derpshiz 12
Wouldn’t keeping Brooks help with the tank?
[–]Wizards CharlesAtlantic 13
I think the best strategy on the coaching front during a tank is to find someone who has a high-ceiling as a coach but needs to get some game experience . Or you could go with someone who is known for their player development ability – like a Kenny Atkinson.
[–]Lakers cesga_0218 3
Westbrook back on the rebuild that he tried to escape in OKC. Lol
[–][HOU] Hakeem Olajuwon dirk2654 4
And he escaped one here in Houston too lol
[–][WAS] Gilbert Arenas httr20 8
It's his own fault tbh. If he was playing well, we wouldn't be this bad.
lmao what a horrid take
[–][WAS] Gilbert Arenas httr20 9
You’re a Westbrook stan. Just like all the others who invade the Wizards subreddit, you give nothing but excuses for a player making Supermax money. Tonight he was horribly inefficient (although this was probably one of his better games, which is depressing) and had many turnovers.
[–]Heat jesuschin 49
I can’t believe all those Russ stans who keep defending him after every trade as if the team getting rid of him is going to regret it
[–]Hawks WhiteHeterosexualGuy 31
Its cus Russ is a model athlete and a very likable dude — people don't like to see him getting hated on, but that contract attracts hate.
I want beal in philly so badly
[–][WAS] Gilbert Arenas httr20 15
Gimme Ben Simmons
Sounds good to me
[–]Rockets wgel1000 9
Ben and Westbrook. What a duo..
